Most of us are acquainted with teaching techniques applied in schools, but how many are aware that it was Friedrich Frobel, a German educationist who coined the word ‘kindergarten’, meaning a garden of children and laid down the fundamentals of kindergarten teaching. Frobel developed the idea of starting children’s education before the age of seven years. He established the importance of learning through activities such as geometrical block building, dancing ,singing and use of educational games.
Schools, nowadays following Froebel’s guidelines of using self play, song and poetry to stimulate learning. At Nest school, we enhance our teaching techniques by encouraging knowledge and learning through educational trips, role plays, festival and birthday celebrations, and abundantly engaging our students in educational games . Kindergarteners in our school enjoy participating in special days dedicated to various colours and themes. Nest prides itself on providing the right tools, environment and experience to all those who choose to be a part of our school.
