Lohri Celebrations at the Nest Preschool
On 13th January, Nestians celebrated the festival of Lohri across all the branches of Nest Preschool. The major attraction was the bonfire organised in the school premises. The children danced around the bonfire singing the Lohri song,’Sundriye, Mundriye, hoye’ with much gusto. They were gifted sweets and popcorn after the activities. The teachers narrated the stories of Makar Sakranti and Lohri to teach the little ones, the significance of yet another Indian festival. The infectious energy of the students led to the parents joining in the celebrations. The Nest school receives much appreciation from parents for the way we celebrate our festivals to teach children what our values are and how we can imbibe them in our daily lives. Festivals are an integral part of Indian culture and we look forward to more such celebrations with parents and students.

The Christmas Carnival
The Christmas carnival held at all the branches of The Nest Group of Schools was an instant hit with both our students and their parents. It was held on 24th December in the school premises, and began with a showcase of our young students’ general knowledge skills. The poem recitation competition set the tone of this exciting day. The kids performed the Christmas song, ‘Jingle bells’ enthusiastically, while their parents joined in too! A bubbly Santa Claus enthralled everyone with his antics and loud laughter. A special photo studio was set up to keep the events of the day alive in everyone’s memories! Parents participated in the fascinating games organized by the staff. The day was full of Christmas cheer and enjoyment. The Nest Preschool believes in festival celebrations to give the kids a first-hand knowledge and teaching the significance of our diverse culture. The essence of Christmas lies in being happy and spreading happiness!

Annual Function-2016
My Beautiful World
A bright sunny morning dawned on Sunday, 20th November, as the little students of The Nest Group of Schools, rose up from bed, looking forward to their performances at the Annual Function, My Beautiful World. It was an exciting day for everyone when we all reached The Epicentre, Apparel House. The show began well in time with our Director, Shaloo Sapra, welcoming the parents and grandparents. Her presentation on the school achievements and growth was well received by the audience wherein she outlined how the Nest Preschool had grown by leaps and bounds, all thanks to the wonderful teachers and staff and the trust of the parents in Gurgaon and other cities. The director pointed out that The Nest Group was now marking its presence in Kolkata, Pune, Madurai and New Delhi. With five more branches opening shortly in Delhi, NCR, The Nest Group of Schools will soon be proudly operating 15 branches in all.
The Function began among rounds of applause as our Chief Guests, grandparents of our students lit the ceremonial lamp, with children reciting the Ganesh Vandana. The momentum was kept up with enthralling music and enthusiastic dance performances by the Nestians. A slide show in the background added magic to the events going on onstage. A very well-conceived and well performed version of the Bollywood hit Lagaan, complete with short skits and songs was the highlight of the show. A standing ovation by the audience followed leaving the kids delighted. The colourful and peppy dresses of the participants were appreciated by all. The Fashion Show put up by our little ones was impressive .Watching the babies strutting their stuff on the ramp was amazing and received thunderous applause. Meanwhile, the surprise element of the show was a stunning dance routine by the teachers of The Nest Preschool.
The astounding success of our show My Beautiful World comes as no surprise, since the teachers put in so much effort and time in preparing the little children to go onstage. Their hard work paid off and the parents gave us very encouraging feedback through SMSs and emails. A word of thanks to our audience for being there. A big shout out to staff, technicians and helpers because of whom My Beautiful World proved to be just that. BEAUTIFUL!!
Annual Function

The Nest Group of Schools is thrilled to announce the Annual Function, ‘My Beautiful World ‘ being held on 20th November, Sunday at The Auditorium, Epicentre, Apparel House, near HUDA City Centre metro station, sector 44, Gurgaon. The atmosphere in all our school branches is electric as preparations have reached a crescendo. Kindly go through the instructions sent in the circular, carefully and follow them to avoid any kind of confusion during the program.
Since the dress will be provided by the school, please ensure that the child reaches the venue on time with dress and makeup on. Food and water will be provided at the venue to all participants. Registration of all students is compulsory at the entrance of the auditorium.
Encourage your wards to do their best as being on stage will give them a lot of confidence.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS AT THE NEST!
Diwali illuminates darkness and brings us close to God and our near and dear ones. Its spirit hangs thick in the air. The Nest Group of Schools always find new ways to celebrate and enjoy festivals. On Saturday, the fastest growing chain of preschools in Gurgaon, held a roaring event across all their branches which was attended by mothers and students alike. There was festivities galore as the school organized diya and candle decoration, rangoli making competitions, drawing competition and dancing. The school was decorated with ribbons, stars, dupattas and mirrors. Mothers were beautifully dressed up in traditional attire. The little ones had a great time playing with toys and engaging in competitions. The school gave away prizes to the winners. Women mingled with each other during high tea and there was a lot of laughter of gaiety. Our ever effecient staff with their infectious enthusiasm worked hard to make the day a grand success. Festivals are the core of Indian culture and we at The Nest Preschool do our best to inculcate our religious values in our students so that they become aware of their rich heritage. The school also sent out a strong message against the use of pollution causing crackers .We wish all our patrons a clean, green and safe Diwali!

Self Development Workshop
Dear Parents,
Good Handwriting is an asset that both children and adults should possess. Beautiful writing is an indicator of fluency and knowledge of a subject. It helps in completing examinations where there is a time limit and is a necessity for achieving high grades. Students’ notes must be legible or reading them would become tedious and time consuming.
English is a global language and in any field of work, knowledge of the language is a prerequisite for success. Being an expert at spoken English and having a good knowledge of English grammar, helps in creating well-crafted assignments in school and College. It makes one feel confident and inspired. As we all know, good careers are based on great communication skills.
To address these two commonly faced problems by our students, and a cause for concern for all parents, The Nest Group of Schools is organizing an exciting 3 months long Self Development Workshop, comprising of Handwriting Improvement and English Grammar classes for children 4 years and above. Classes will be held twice a week, after school hours and on Saturdays.

Students Year Book
Dear Parents,
The Nest Group of Schools is launching The Students Year Book, a collection of pictures taken over the year. The students shall be photographed in different moods, outfits and on many occasions in the school to form a beautiful selection of memories, all compiled in a photo album. We would also schedule a day for family portraits to be shot in school, the date of which would be intimated to you. All those interested may register and deposit Rupees 2500/- in their respective school branch at the earliest.

We are delighted to announce that The Nest Group of Schools will be hosting their tenth Annual Day on 20th November, 2016, Sunday. The function would be an assortment of dance performances, songs and plays. The aim is to showcase the talents of our little ones and nurture them. Being on stage helps them gain confidence and be free of stage fright. It prepares children to work together in coordination, thus preparing them to face bigger challenges as they grow. Therefore, participation of all students is compulsory. Since rehearsal of the various programs has already begun in all branches of Nest Preschool, please ensure regular attendance of your ward.
You are requested to deposit Rupees 1000/- as Annual Function charges before 12th September in your respective school branches.

Janamasthami Celebration
Dear Parents,
Kindly note that The Nest Preschool will be holding Janamasthami celebrations on 24th August, Wednesday. Please send your kids in traditional outfits and you may choose to dress them up as Radha or Krishna. The students will be having dance performances. The school branches will be adorned with flowers and jhaankis of Lord Krishna. All the students would be getting decorated flutes as gifts.

Tree Plantation Drive
The Nest Preschool is pleased to invite, students, parents and grandparents to Sheetla Van Mahotsav, a tree plantation drive,on August 13, Saturday. The trees would be planted by our little ones, with their little hands, in their own names . The Nest School encourages their students to be responsible citizens. Since it is never too early to learn good habits, we teach Nestians to give something back to the society. Trees remove carbon dioxide and other pollutants from the atmosphere, planting more trees would mean a greener, cleaner, healthier Gurgaon. Nestians are taught to respect the environment and take care of our planet.
Educationist Shri.P.N.Mongia, President of Senior Citizens Federation,Gurgaon and Er. H.C.Khurana, President,Senior Citizens Forum,Palam Vihar, have kindly agreed to be our chief guests, at this environmental awareness drive. The event would be presided over by Shri. Nest Preschool Celebrates Independence Day
The Nest Preschool will be celebrating Independence Day on 12th August,Friday. You are requested to send your ward dressed up in blue outfits.
The students may carry multicolored sandwiches for their lunch. There will be flag hoisting, role play and singing of the national anthem and patriotic songs by students and teachers.
Nest school won prizes across all categories
Interschool competition was organized by Ryan Global School on 19th Sep 2015. Several schools participated in this event. Nest school won prizes across all categories i.e. poem recitation, quiz competition and animal musical chairs. We were the leading winners of the awards in this function.

Education award given to the director of Nest Pre Schools
An ideal senior citizen federation, an association of senior citizens of Haryana celebrated its annual day on 17th May 2015. The event was organized in the auditorium of Arya Vidya Mandir, Sector 7, Gurgaon. It was a very grand event attended by distinguished guest and citizens of Haryana. Some of the notable citizens who attended the event included Dr Swami Kamlesh ji Maharaj, Shri Trilok Chand Sharma and Shri Dinesh Nagpal. The chief guest of the event was Ms Seema Pahuja ( Municipal Councillor). The event lasted for about 3 hours and included sports events awards, cultural program, speeches by respected senior citizens and messages from dignitaries. The showstopper of the event was awards in 4 categories i.e Education, Literature, Society and Women. This was given to the outstanding work done by individuals in these fields. Education award was given to Ms Shaloo Sapra, Director of Nest Pre Schools. She has done exemplary work in the area of Education in the last 8 years. Nest School was establalsihed in 2007 in Gurgaon and within a short span; the school has established themselves as the leading school with 5 branches across the City. The school has set very high standard in education and overall development of kids. The award in the field of literature went to Dr Ashok Sharma who is a very learned person and has done immense contribution in the field. The award in the field of Society was given to Shri Tejman Kumar for his great contribution to the Society. Ms Seema Pahuja was awarded Women award for her contribution to the cause of women empowerment and upliftment. The event was well organized and got appreciation from all the attendees.
