Television addiction is a problem that is rapidly affecting kids aged two years and above. Besides harming young eyes, TV is responsible for making our kids couch potatoes and prone to being over weight and other lifestyle diseases. Many parents believe that letting children watch more Television keeps them out of their way ,allowing them to do their own jobs. Studies reveal that watching television makes children introverts and in some cases , delusional. It would be beneficial to set time limits for tele watching, encouraging children to play outdoors, and helping them inculcate new hobbies such as reading,writing and drawing. Nothing beats the quality time that parents spend with their children, they should also be taught by example. Television should remain a means of entertainment and not be allowed to become an addiction!
